“设计研究：事实依据与理论依据”—2016（湖南大学）第三届高校设计研究博士论坛通知

论坛背景：

本届博士论坛是继第一届（清华大学）高校设计研究博士论坛和第二届（江南大学）高校设计研究博士论坛之后，由湖南大学设计艺术学院将于2016年4月16－17日承办的第三届2016（湖南大学）高校设计研究博士论坛。由清华大学、香港理工大学、江南大学、湖南大学、同济大学、台湾成功大学六所高校联合发起，由国务院学位委员会学科设计学评议组主办，湖南大学设计艺术学院承办。旨在加强和促进各核心高校间的博士研究学术交流,推动前沿学术研究水平的提升和与国际学术研究对接的能力，规范学术研究能力和提升学术研究、论文写作能力。

论坛主题：
本次论坛的主题为，设计研究：事实依据与理论依据。设计研究者对设计师式认知的归纳和构建多是阶段性的、未完结的；对设计实践和过程的分析和解剖多是欠完整的、欠全面的；对设计对象的解释和理解多是偏主观的、外延的。随着互联网技术飞速发展，设计对象不断的延展，设计研究的事实是不断“进步”而“丰富”的，而设计研究的理论是不断“坚固”而“多面”的。认识到设计研究的局限性和状态的特殊性，并不是否定设计研究的意义和理性，而是为了更加全面的理解设计研究的研究依据与结果间的关系。在不断“进步”和“丰富”的设计研究事实和不断“坚固”而“多面”的设计研究理论中，如何对两者的依据进行判断与选择？如何在两者依据的交互中完成塑造和提炼？如何理解依据的“真实”、方法的“科学”与结论的“价值”？

Background：
This PhD Forum is the third “ (Hunan University) Design Research PhD Forum 2016 “,following the first “ (Tsinghua University) Design Research PhD Forum 2015” and the second “ (jiangnan University) Design Research PhD Forum 2015“，which is launched by School of Design, Hunan University, from April 16th to 17th, in Changsha, Hunan Province. This forum is jointly sponsored by Tsinghua University, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Jiangnan University, Hunan University, Tongji University and National Cheng Kung University, And hosted by the disciplinary council of Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, undertaken by School of Design, Hunan University. The main aim of this forum is to promote the academic communication between PhDs of top universities, raise the forefront academic research level and also the ability to conduct research with international standards, standardized the academic research abilities, and also improve the abilities of academic research and thesis-writing.

Theme：
The theme of this forum is Design Research: Factual and Theoretical Basis. The generalization and construction of “Designerly Ways of Knowing” is still on a phased process and unfinished, Additionally, the analysis on design process and practice is incomplete, the explaining and understanding of design object is slightly subjective and extensional. With the rapid development of Internet and the constant extension of design objects, the factual basis of design is increasingly richer,while the theoretical basis is being “comprehensive”and “consolidated”. Having recognized the limitation and specificity of design research, doesn’t mean that the significance and rationality of design research should be denied, but in order to achieve a comprehensive understanding on the relationship between research evidence and result. How to make a choice between the factual basis and theoretical basis? How to refine the interaction between factual basis and theoretical basis? How to comprehend the “reality” of evidence, the “scientificity” of method, and the “value” of conclusion?
